Being a woman in Africa is worth celebrating. Literally, everything seems to be unfair to an Average African woman.
Religion calls her the weaker vessel, tells her she is born for a man and subject to her man.
Culture tells her that she has no voice outside her man, that she MUST stick to her husband even when she is trampled on, that she MUST respect her husband even when she is treated as a slave.
The society tells her she can't be happy and successful without a man and that she needs to know that everything she does MUST be towards a goal which is, to marry a good man.... funny.
The list goes on and on and all these things are the reason why an average African woman thinks she can't do much.... No, you can't blame her, not with all psychological, emotional and physical abuse and pressure she has been subjected to.Yet, amidst these things there are still women who are fighting to be heard, yes, they go through a lot of struggle but are still resilient…They have been through a lot , yet still standing.
To every woman out there... Nothing should stop you from having your dreams and chasing them...
You are too powerful to give up
You are too strong, keep fighting!
Happy international women day to every woman who is fighting so hard to survive
Believe in yourself, Be strong, be resilient and never give up. Sometimes dreams come true. So don't be afraid to spread your wings and take up space in the World.
